Company Profile:
Dolmar is a company from La Rioja (Spain). The path starts with the foundation by Mr and Mrs Mariano Fernández and Dolores Soto in 1992 of a company for the distribution of oenological products imported from other countries in a mainly regional area.
Nowadays with the second generation leading the Company, there are three divisions:
Dolmar Productos Enológicos, founded at the end of 2009, has become a benchmark in innovation for wine and food and agriculture industry through its work in research and development, formulation and manufacturing and sale of oenological top products and food additives.
Dolmar Innova has become an important centre for research, analytical control and developing of new projects of great weight in Spain and strongly focused to food and agricultural industry.
Micalanda is a milestone in top oenological training through international programs given alongside with leading researchers in the different disciplines.
Internationalization is now one of the main challenges for the Company, which is already present in markets such as France, Portugal, New Zealand and Australia. Nowadays the Company has started to enlarge its operations to Argentina, Chile, USA, Germany, Italy… among others.
Dolmar’s performance has been recognized by important awards like the XXI Entrepreneurial Award in 2010 (promoted by La Caixa, Banking and Financial Entity, and Enisa, the Spanish National Innovation Company assigned to the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce), which recognises the most innovative companies with a better perspective for development; the 2010 Mercury Award in the category of Innovation and Entrepreneurship granted to Dolmar by La Rioja Marketing Club “for its clear vocation to innovate in two areas: the development of new products and services and a major commercial focus, so enabling the Company to stand out in an usually traditional industry”; the 2011 Entrepreneur Award from both La Rioja Youth Entrepreneur Association and Emprenderioja Program.

Another very important part of its activity is divulgation. Dolmar team has become a frequent speaker in meetings related to innovation, biotechnology and nanotechnology. Recently Dolmar has participated at the Octubre Bio meetings organized by La Rioja Government, in the Oenological Conference held by the Athenaeum of Madrid with an introduction to ‘Innovation in Oenology’, and at the Vinitech International Exhibition in Bordeaux-France in the roundtable “The challenge of competitiveness in the wine sector: Decrease in costs - Innovation - Marketing focused on customer”.

Co-operation in research projects and commercial agreements

What we offer:
Nowadays we work at several projects of I+D+i, at collaboration with companies and organisms as the CDTI, the Government of La Rioja or the FER, related to areas as unlike as the environment, the food safety, microbiology, nano-bio-TIC, the functional food, etc.
In our facilities: experimental section annexes to the laboratories, the wineries and food companies have the possibility of make I+D+i project tests, useful life studies and analysing the obtained results.
