Company Profile:
CNTA is a private non-profit Research Institute located in San Adrian (Navarre) set up in 1981. The main aim of the Centre is to contribute to the development and innovation of the agri-food industry, offering technical support to improve their quality and competitiveness. CNTA currently serves over 500 industries.
CNTA’s RTD activities include a wide array of technologies related to extraction, characterization, purification and delivery of bioactive compounds for their incorporation into novel food formulations. Other areas of expertise include Probiotics selection, White Biotechnology and Molecular Biology applied to foods (i.e. PCR, sequencing or DHPLC applied to characterisation of probioticand starter strains by means of SNPs detection). CNTA carries out additional activities in the areas of microbiology and novel processing technologies applied to foodstuffs (HHP, PEF).
